Donation Policy.

How Donations Are Used

Donations are made to the Katrina's Sparkle Fund, a charitable fund established to support initiatives that align with Katrina's Sparkle's purpose of creating opportunities for a brighter and safer future.

The Katrina's Sparkle Fund supports causes and projects focused on:

  • Child and family safety

  • Family harmony and cohesion

  • Youth development and opportunity

  • Educational support

  • Social justice initiatives

  • Community wellbeing

  • Health and research-related causes aligned with our mission

Where appropriate, funds are distributed through grants, partnerships and charitable initiatives that reflect the values and legacy of Katrina Louise Hastings.

Tax Deductibility

Donations are made to the Katrina's Sparkle Fund, which operates as a sub-fund of the Australian Communities Foundation.

As a result, eligible donations made to the Katrina's Sparkle Fund can receive a tax-deductible receipt through the Australian Communities Foundation's Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.

Donation receipts are issued by the Australian Communities Foundation in accordance with their policies and charitable guidelines.

Grant Making & Community Impact

The Katrina's Sparkle Fund works in partnership with the Australian Communities Foundation to distribute funds to charitable organisations and community initiatives that align with Katrina's Sparkle's purpose and mission.

Through this model, donations can be directed towards a range of charitable causes that create meaningful and lasting impact for children, families and communities.

This approach ensures the fund remains sustainable, transparent and focused on creating positive outcomes while honouring Katrina's legacy of kindness, generosity and service.
